The Jefferson County EMA is asking individuals to hold off on sending donations until we have a better idea of what is specifically needed in Lee County. If you want to help, the best thing to do is donate blood here in Jefferson County or donate gift cards and send them through reputable organizations such as American Red Cross and United Way. Please do not donate unmarked bags of various clothing! This is an extra burden on the volunteers who must go through and sort the clothes.
